Dr Anning’s experience
and training
Dr Ross Anning hails from Auckland but received significant experience in both New Zealand and the UK. Having first qualified at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand, he worked in Auckland and London as a dentist.
This experience fuelled his passion for more complex cases requiring orthodontic treatment, so he returned to the University of Otago to complete a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry. This three year course qualified Dr Anning to become a registered specialist orthodontist. He also became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
After his time studying at the University of Otago, he returned to London, England. This is where Dr Anning gained extensive, invaluable experience in using state-of-the-art technology to transform the lives of adults and young people needing complex orthodontic treatment.
Founding Auckland City Orthodontics
Dr Anning returned to New Zealand with the desire to found his own practice, whereupon he established Auckland City Orthodontics in the heart of Auckland's CBD. It was Dr Anning’s dream to provide the residents and workers within his home community with a convenient location to receive the best treatment.
As a family man, who likes to spend time with his own young family, Dr Anning understands your needs. Parents seeking treatment for their children and teenagers are always impressed by his kind manner with nervous and young patients.
When Dr Anning is not working at his practice, studying or spending time with his young family, he enjoys a round or two of golf.
