How do traditional metal braces work?
Metal brackets are fixed to each tooth and a wire is passed through them. This applies gentle but effective pressure. Traditional braces require regular checkups to ensure they’re working as intended and to allow Dr Anning to make any required adjustments.
The confidence to flash your smile with tooth-coloured braces
Tooth-coloured braces are colour-matched to your teeth. Whilst they’re not as invisible as clear aligners, they are a lot less noticeable than traditional metal braces. They work in exactly the same way as traditional braces, using metal brackets and a wire to put gentle pressure on your teeth. However, many patients prefer tooth-coloured braces as they feel more confident and less self-conscious wearing braces.
